From the Woodworker: I do all my turnings using a converted antique wood lathe circa 1877.
All pieces are turned and hollowed using tools that are mostly of my own design and making. I create the pierced effects with a miniature saber saw and sometimes a small router.
Pretty simple in theory. In practice, every piece is an experiment in difficulty, challenge and ideally satisfaction.
